Social Maps of Time and Space (2006) <<

This is an initial foray into understanding the perception of time in sociable media. The visualization is a three-dimensional interactive environment where each user (blue and gray) are represented with their mobile phone call data (location, duration, quantity). As users navigate the environment (e.g.: panning, zooming, etc.) they can view each call (represented by a picture) and compare the communication patterns of the users spread over a period of three months.

This piece is exhibited at InfoVis Art Show in Baltimore, 2006.
